camping

We dusted off the camper for a quick trip to the desert a couple weeks ago. It’s getting more fun as the kids get older because they love exploring the great outdoors and then getting to sleep in the camper. And when you get to wake up to beautiful scenery like this, there’s not much too complain about.

thankful

Today I am thankful for:

  • a wonderful vacation with my family and great friends
  • the ability to cross ten things off my to do list yesterday
  • time with my little man at a really cute Mother’s Day Tea at preschool this morning

Bye bye, ocean.  See you next time.

first baseball glove

My little man decided he needed a baseball glove.  Yes, he is only 3, but the kid knows what he wants.  I surprised him with a new glove and he and Grandpa enjoyed some catch in the backyard during his (and Grandma’s) visit a few weeks ago.

He couldn’t have been happier.  And it only took me a few minutes to realize the glove was on the wrong hand.  Oops!  I got confused since it is a left-handed glove.  The boy is kind of ambidextrous anyway.  He didn’t know the difference.

Ahh.   That’s more like it.

What a fun game!  We hope Grandpa comes to visit again soon so we can play some more.

(It’s crazy what a difference a few weeks makes.  Our yard is nice and green and in full bloom now :))

handsome fellas | salt lake city child photographer

I had a lot of fun with these handsome young men!

I have to admit…photographing three active boys makes my stress level rise a bit.  I wasn’t sure if they would give me the time of day.

Turns out, if you make them run and jump a lot, they have a great time!  And these three were perfect little gentlemen.  I love the photos we captured.

The boys’ mom and I were so excited about these jumping shots.  She knew she wanted them on the wall the minute we captured them.  So fun!!  I love the shadows!

Thanks for a fun day, guys!  I’m looking forward to running and jumping with you again someday.

so grown up! | salt lake city family photography

My friend, Baby Grace, is now a crawling-around-the-house one-year-old.  Happy (belated) birthday to you, my little friend!

It looks like Grace wanted to give someone a big hug.  Actually, we were bribing her with “booty” and she wanted her next piece.

Next, she’ll be walking.  Look out!
